Camus House is a Victorian family home & 4 bedroom guest house.
Built in 1892, the house features a grand reception hallway with antique pine panelling and a staircase with original carved balustrade. Many original 19th-century features have been preserved, complemented by modern upgrades. The property boasts carefully tended mature gardens, encompassing lawns, woodland, and a car park.
By fostering a deep connection to the natural beauty & tranquility of the Scottish Highlands we enhance our guest experience by offering a warm, welcoming retreat and by sharing our local knowledge and love for the region. We provide a comfortable, scenic escape where guests can unwind, explore, and create lifelong memories surrounded

Welcome to Camus House — Camus, meaning bay, is not just our name, but a reflection of the tranquil setting we’re so lucky to call home. As a fourth-generation family-run retreat, we offer an adults-only haven designed for rest, relaxation, and a true escape from the everyday.
While we’re unable to accommodate guests’ pets, we do have two of our own beloved dogs, who are kept away from guest areas to ensure your comfort and peace.
Here, nature sets the pace. Whether you're basking in the golden glow of a summer sunset over the loch, or watching the mountains come alive with cascading waterfalls during a storm, there is beauty in every season. The scenery that surrounds us is simply unforgettable — and we often hear from guests that once you've visited, you carry a piece of Camus with you forever.
We fell in love with this place so much we made it our home — and we hope you feel the same. We're passionate about what we do and strive to make your stay a true home from home.
